Decay over Time

This is a small experiment into something that has been on my mind as of late. I have been doing a lot of research in information visualizations found in the natural world, an example of this is tree rings. There are a lot of dimensions of information that surround us in our daily lives, and a lot of this is lost in the digital realm. One of these losses is time, and the effects that it has on things.

This demo is a quick and dirty experiment into that realm. The two circles in this demo were created exactly the same, at the same time. The one on the right is effected by the passage of time, causing it to change size and colour.

Check back in a few days and you should see a change.

This is using amfPHP to connect to a database where the data of birth was stored and pulling in the current date for a comparison.
